Lakemba – Bankstown Unit started as a small unit of IFAM from Lakemba in 2005. It has now grown into Lakemba – Bankstown Circle with the passage of time, covering the suburbs of Canterbury, Belmore, Roselands, Lakemba, Punchbowl, Greenacre, Bankstown, Yagoona, Condell Park and Hurstville.

Most activities for Lakemba – Bankstown Circle take place at the Bankstown Masjid, which also serves as the meeting point for people wanting to join IFAM.
