Speakers

Sami Hamdi

Sami Hamdi is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Interest. He has extensive experience in the MENA region, having been a television reporter and talk-show host for over 10 years. He is the Managing Director of the International Interest, a global risk and intelligence company. He advises government institutions, global companies and NGOs on the geopolitical dynamics of Europe and the MENA region, and has significant expertise in advising on commercial issues, market expansion, and management of stakeholders.

Shk. Shadi Alsuleiman

Sheikh Shadi Alsuleiman is a prominent Imam, Community Leader and Dae’e (Preacher) based in Sydney, Australia. He’s the founder of the United Muslims of Australia (UMA), currently the President of the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC)

Rais Khan

Rais Khan is Civil Engineer by profession, has been an active worker of IFAM for more than 15 years and is currently President of this family based organisation. He is a community leader, an experienced dawah worker with wide and in-depth experience as a volunteer۔ His vision is characterised by striving to promote the comprehensive message of Islam in the wider Australian community, while celebrating its unique diversity.

Dr. Ibrahim Abu Mohamad

Ibrahim Abu Mohamed (Arabic: إبراهيم أبو محمد) is an Egyptian-born and educated Islamic scholar and Grand Mufti of Australia from September 2011 to March 2018

Sheikh Bilal Dannoun

Sheikh Bilal is a famous Marriage Counsellor & Islamic Consultant in Sydney. He will be delivering a lecture on “Relationships - challenges in finding a spouse and challenges in keeping a spouse.

Senator Fatima Payman

Fatima Payman is an Australian politician who has served as a senator for Western Australia since 2022. Payman was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and lived for three years in Pakistan before migrating to Perth with her family in 2003. She attended the Australian Islamic College and studied pharmacy at university Awarded Australian Muslim Role Model of the Year, 2022.

Ramia Abdo Sultan

Ramia Abdo Sultan is a lawyer, community advocate and is currently serving as Community Relations Advisor to the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC). As a da'iyyah, Ramia completed her Masters of Islamic Studies and runs study circles (halaqat) aimed at sisters across Sydney.

Shaykhah Umm Jamaal ud-Din

Shaykhah Umm Jamaal ud-Din an Australian revert to Islam, (Mouna Parkin) has a BA in Fiqh and Usul-al Fiqh from al-Madinah International University and is currently in her third year of a Masters in Fiqh. She has been a teacher of various shariah sciences at Masjid as Sunnah in Sydney for almost 20 years and is also from amongst the first three qualified females in Australia to become official members of the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC). She is a community leader, international speaker and a devoted mother of five children.

Sheikh Yahya Adel Ibrahim

Sh. Yahya Ibrahim is specialist in Spirituality and Qur’an. Studied Tafsir, Fiqh and Hadith with scholars from Hijaz and Egypt. Sought after by Muslim and non-Muslim organizations, schools and government. Educates on domestic violence, misogyny, gender discrimination, child protection, disability and mental health.

Waseem Razvi

Br Waseem Razvi is the Founder President of Islamic Research & Educational Academy (IREA) and Electronics Engineer by Profession. He is an exceptional presenter of Islam to Non-Muslims in Australia in the tradition of Sheikh Ahmad Deedat & his mentor Brother Imran. He has interest in Comparative Religion and Interfaith Dialogue.

Sheikh Abdool Rahman

Shaykh Abdool Rahman Khan is a graduate of the Islamic University in Madinah Munawwarah, specializing in Islamic Inheritance. He is currently serves as the chairman of the Shari’ah Council of Islamic Circle of North America and a member of the Fiqh Council of North America

Khalid Masood (Poet)

Khalid Masood Khan is a respected columnist and poet, known for his thought-provoking writings that explore the complexities of life, politics, and culture. As a columnist, he offers insightful analysis and commentary on current events, sparking important discussions and debates.
